I too believe the LASSI helps students really "see" where their strengths and weaknesses are. Students then can make honest efforts to build on the strengths they have while developing their weaknesses. To me, the LASSI makes how students approach study and learning more tangible. Instead of being in the back of their minds, the chart shows each area in "black and white." Students than have to acknowledge, accept, and do something about the weaknesses.
