You are exactly right! That is why I like to assign the LASSI in the first week of classes. Students, like yourself, need to see their strengths and weaknesses in a clear, tangible format instead of just being aware of them in the back of their minds. The next step for you is to be conscious of which techniques and strategies introduced in class will help you develop those weak areas. I think you'll find that when you apply the strategies or adapt them to suit your needs, you'll improve your approach to learning and will, ultimately, shorten your study time.
