I think that the rate should be taken from a variety of materials, rather than from one certain piece, because some articles, chapters or pages are not as hard as other. Reading from a much difficulter book may take longer than if you were to read from a childrens book. I think that you could get a better average if you were to take the average from a variety of rates. If you do that you will probably have a better average.
