reading rates will vary from purpose to purpose. If you are reading because you have to study for a test, you will more than likely take it a little bit slower so you can absorb what you need to know. If you need to look for a specific article you will go faster and browse till you find a key word or subject. Everyone needs to understand and know what they are reading for so they can fullfill their duties that they are trying to accomplish correctly.
